Build A Bear Workshop

Today was Sergio's first trip to the Build-A-Bear Workshop.  He brought his friend, Night Fury (aka Toothless) along.

The exciting Build-A-Bear Workshop at the Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida!

First he picked which animal we wanted to make and got the 'skin' for it.  Sergio picked a Dachshund!  He picked a sound button (song) for its front paw, when you press it what do think it plays?   Who let the dogs out of course!

Sergio helped fill the dog by pressing on the foot pedal of the stuffing machine! He then got to do a special song and dance with the dogs heart, finally kissing it before it went inside his dog!

Here they are; two cuties!
Now a scrub and fluff in the tub!
We have to pick his name and have his birth certificate printed!
Sergio even got a Smurf hat and was given a new name... Smurfio!!!
What a nice time! Let's get my new friend home!

Vacation July 2011: Disney's Animal Kingdom

We spent a week in Orlando for our summer vacation with good friends from NY.  We met the NY couple while in Russia when we both brought home our sons in 2006.   It was great to see them this year; we last met in 2009 in Myrtle Beach with a third couple from PA who we also met in Russia (they brought home two boys).  It's great to get the boys together and we all share such a precious bond that I know we will be lifelong friends and hope that we can get the boys all together through the years.

On this day (July 11, 2011) we visited Disney's Animal Kingdom

 This mini-musical was really great!

This 'Tree of Life' was so magnificent with so many surprises carved into it!

This guy loves maps!!

Pals till the end!

The Safari Parade!
It's expressions like this one that makes us forget how much it cost to get in!
A Jeep Safari Ride through the park.
This Gorilla was chilling with his arm across his face!
Like Father Like Son!
This Hippo looks so dainty while swimming!
I'm a bird watcher! I'm a bird watcher!
The Zerquera family.  Will the real Sergio Sr please raise his hand?
Ready for 'It's a Bugs Life' in 3D!
One section on the Tree of Life

Sergio's buddy Patrick.
It's typical so see thunder storms in the summer afternoons here in FL.  It's awesome to find the rainbow afterwards!

After a long day, you would think Sergio V would look a little tired!

SVZ: Mom, can we go to NH again and look at the trees with the colorful leaves?
Me: Sure, we will try to go again; we had a nice time last year!
SVZ: And Mom, I don’t want to fly on Southwest.  Can we go on Jet Blue?  They have TVs!
(Since Jet Blue doesn’t fly into the airport I want to fly into, he will be on Southwest again but I’ll be nice and bring the portable DVD player.) (Yes we are still behind the times with no laptop.)

Sergio at the Speech Pathologist Office:
Speech Pathologist: Sergio, tell me why this sentence doesn’t make sense:  The girl ate the car.
SVZ: HAHAHAHAHAHA that is soooo funnnyyyyy!!!!! The girl ate the car????? Whatttt?????? HAHAHAHAHAHAH
Speech Pathologist and my husband: LOL!

A Trip To Sandi Trails

A friend let us know of someone who was giving away a few chickens at their Equestrian Center/Working Farm!  We went to pick them up but they roam the farm during the day so we had to wait until dusk when they 'came in for the night'.  While we were waiting, we had a great time exploring the grounds!  There were animals of every kind all over the place!

At first I thought this was a cow!

Lovely Sandhill Crane family.

Can you imagine how heavy that is to carry around?

Both those miniature horses were pregnant!

Chickens... or abominable snowmen? :)
