I AM a Black and White Cookie
You're often conflicted in life, and you feel pulled in two opposite directions. When you're good, you're sweet as sugar. And when you're bad, you're wicked!

What kind are you??

Sergio had his very first Movie Theatre experience!!

He did very good! Only a few moments of talking out LOUD..... One of Sergio's favorite characters is a giraffe named Melman. We told Sergio to be quiet because people were trying to watch the movie. (Thankfully the theatre didn't have very many people in it!) All of a sudden Melman spoke one of his lines. Sergio Vladimir yelled, "Melman, Be QUIET!"

There were a few other instances but they were all precious! Enjoy the photos!
This entry is dedicated to "The Frenchman" Enjoy "The Movie"!

Family Day #2!!!

7:29 PM Edit This 1 Comment »

Two years ago today, we landed in the USA as a family!
We celebrated tonight as a family and went out to dinner at the Outback Steakhouse. Are chocolate chip cookies really on the menu at the Outback?
We had a nice time and Sergio didn't waste any time... he started chanting I WANT TO GO HOME as soon as the appetizer arrived!
What a beautiful sunset on the way home!
We are all VERY VERY HAPPY!!!
SV: This is my wish for you:

More than anything, more than anything,
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it,
That your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more then you can hold,
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish. (Rascal Flatts)

Mangroves

Sergio really loves the water and on this day we played near the mangroves in Jupiter in the intercoastal. There were lots of 'bait fish' (as Daddy called them) swimming around. This made Mommy want to get out! Sergio is now going around the house moving his arms like he is swimming and saying, "I'm a bait fish!"

Mother and Son-Day!

Today was Dad's day to go to the Miami Dolphins football game with his friends. SV and I had the day to ourselves. We went to a few stores...quickly as we could....then on to the beach! SV had a great time, he brought a truck, helicopter, pail and shovel. We dug a big 'swimming pool' and SV filled it with water. It was nice not having to worry about Hurricane Ike as we soaked in the beautiful sun! We are so lucky to live by the water! :-)

2-Year Post Placement Report

7:23 PM Edit This 2 Comments »

We had our Social Worker visit us today to prepare our 2-year post placement report to be sent to Russia. The actual official court date of our adoption is September 23rd but the report has to be in Russia's hands just before then. Of course the visit went well so with that report, and the pictures that have to accompany it, Russia should be pleasantly pleased!

To celebrate, we drove to West Palm Beach and went to City Place. From there we took the trolley down town. SV called it the trolley train! When we reached down town, we walked to a waterfront restaurant, had lunch, then went to the downtown fountains so SV could play in the water! He had a ball! We took the trolley back to City Place and then drove home. Oh.. I forgot to mention....... on both trolley rides to and from downtown... the trolley had to stop and wait.... for the train to cross!!! SV was so excited to see not 1 but 2 trains, he stood up on the seat of the trolley to get a better look!

But the absolute best part of the day was that we know we are coming up on the 2-year anniversary of becoming a family and we couldn't be happier!!

NEW: Loxahatchee River Center

We took Sergio to the grand opening of the new Loxahatchee River Center. They have some really beautiful displays. Sergio got to jump in the bounce house and pet an alligator. They also have a touch tank. A guide was holding a large starfish for the kids to feel. Gentle; he told the kids. Well Sergio damn near ripped off one of the starfish legs! (Are they called legs?) Anyhow, the guide was freaked out and said WOAH!

Please comment with any potty training advice that you may have!

We are trying and SV has a super new potty chair. He sat on it yesterday for 20 minutes and one drop of wee-wee was produced. HOORAY!

Planes, Trains and Automobiles!

Sergio was very good flying to NH and back. We flew Jetblue and were very pleased with them. In Wolfeboro, NH, we actually took a ride on Thomas the Tank Engine! Those pictures are forth coming for the following reasons: Mommy forgot to bring the battery charger for the digital camera on vacation. The camera doesn't take regular batteries but instead a battery pack that can be recharged using a special charger. Okay.... no problem..... so we bought a new one to the tune of $40 bucks and I recharged it the night before we left for Wolfeboro. Oh, was I madder than a hornet when we got to Wolfeboro (an hour and a half drive) and I realized that the battery was still plugged into the charger at my Grandmother's house!!!! We ended up buying a disposable camera to capture some of the joys of the day so I still need to get them developed. (Not very modern at all!) Sergio also rode on a train at Story Land and a Swan Boat, Flying Dutch Shoe, Flying Whale, Carousel Horse, etc.

VACATION: New Hampshire!
