Horsing Around

In October, 2013, SerVlad started Horse Back Riding Lessons, or, Equine Therapy.
He has been on a few pony rides and had been lead on a horse around a ring on his birthdays, but this was the first time he is really meeting a horse and getting to know all about them and the equipment they use.

His Instructor is a very special and patient lady.  I do believe we didn't find this farm and this instructor by chance, this was a gift from God.

While he may think he is only learning to ride a horse, there is much more going on in the background.  Skills like Social Skills, Confidence, Posture, Strength, to name a few!

Balance!

The name of the Program at the farm is Hopes, Dreams, and Horses.
The farm is just beautiful and it does wonders for me to be there just as it does SerVlad.

Who is his entourage you ask?  Sergio's Instructor is always close by (there are only 2 children total in his class), and there are wonderful volunteers called 'Side Walkers' to ensure safety at all times.

Sergio really enjoys his visit to the farm each week!

2013 Happy Veteran's Day and Marine Corps Birthday!

Sergio enjoyed the West Palm Beach Veteran's Day Parade that was held in downtown West Palm Beach.
The Parade also feel on the 238th birthday of the United States Marine Corps!
Sergio was dressed right for the event and gave numerous 'OOH-RAH's' to many Marines!

He waved his American flag proudly!

One car that came by in the parade had the Director of the West Palm Beach VA in it-of course I know her.  She was passing out small paper flags and Sergio ran out (with me close by) to get one from her.  Of course there was music playing and he used this opportunity to do a little booty shaking in the road with the flags!

Trick or Treat

This year for Halloween, SerVlad wanted to be Optimus Prime, Leader of the Transformer Autobots!

Mom always likes to get in the spirit too!

Since we live in an area where houses are so far apart from each other, Our friend, MaryBette always offers to let us come park at her house and Trick or Treat in her beautiful development. Sergio always makes of well there!

Thank you, MB!

Here he is, in action, making full use out of all the decorations people had out!  He had a blast!

At school, the kids were allowed to come in costume but nothing too scary, no masks, and a whole list of no-no's to keep in mind.  To keep it simple, we put on a hand-me-down karate jacket and he was all set!

He quickly got into the character offering a few karate chop poses.

And they are off! Dad is his faithful driver to school each morning!
