Our Christmas Tree made it to the porch and we happened to like it out there.  ;)

Go Patriots!!!!! Our little football party.  Sadly the Pats didn't make it this year.  SerVlad usually routes for the Patriots with Mommy but when he's trying to get under my skin he says he likes the Dolphins!  Stinker!

We had a little photo shoot in Riverbend Park.
Wanted to get a few cute pictures to send out with Sergio's valentines.

He thinks it's cool when I bring props but he is always the star of the photo!

He asked for this picture with Summer.

Christmas in May

Nope, we are not really having Christmas in May-I'm just getting around to blogging it!

Sergio was excited to help with the decorations and announced that he put 'The First Ornament of Christmas' on the tree.  I think it fell moments later.  :)

I did an Advent House for him this year.  Each day in December there was a little door to open.  Since he doesn't eat much chocolate and it was difficult to find small gifts that were inexpensive to fit in the small doors, most days had a note from Santa with a clue to where his gift could be found.

He found items like ornaments, books, and small Christmas novelty items.

On occasion there was a gentle reprimand in the note!

I also did the Elf on the Shelf again this year.  Sergio named him Elfie last year.

I do have to say, between hiding the ELF each night and doing the Advent House, it was A LOT of work!

But look at this precious boy-I'll do it again this year!  lol

On Christmas Eve, we went to my husband's parents home in West Palm Beach for dinner and to open some presents.

When we got home, we set out the milk and cookies!

Christmas morning was fun and Sergio was excited to get some things on his list!  This FLIP-EEZ hat looked so cute on him when he had it on riding his scooter!

The last door of his Advent House proclaimed that he had made the NICE LIST!
(skin of his teeth......)   ;)

Stocking Time!

Santa brought tickets for all three of us to go to the Circus!  Second row!

Sergio and Daddy hanging on the bunk bed trying out the new Disney Infinity game!

Well, I hope you all had a nice Christmas also!  Even though it's almost Memorial Day!

Horsing Around

In October, 2013, SerVlad started Horse Back Riding Lessons, or, Equine Therapy.
He has been on a few pony rides and had been lead on a horse around a ring on his birthdays, but this was the first time he is really meeting a horse and getting to know all about them and the equipment they use.

His Instructor is a very special and patient lady.  I do believe we didn't find this farm and this instructor by chance, this was a gift from God.

While he may think he is only learning to ride a horse, there is much more going on in the background.  Skills like Social Skills, Confidence, Posture, Strength, to name a few!

Balance!

The name of the Program at the farm is Hopes, Dreams, and Horses.
The farm is just beautiful and it does wonders for me to be there just as it does SerVlad.

Who is his entourage you ask?  Sergio's Instructor is always close by (there are only 2 children total in his class), and there are wonderful volunteers called 'Side Walkers' to ensure safety at all times.

Sergio really enjoys his visit to the farm each week!

2013 Happy Veteran's Day and Marine Corps Birthday!

Sergio enjoyed the West Palm Beach Veteran's Day Parade that was held in downtown West Palm Beach.
The Parade also feel on the 238th birthday of the United States Marine Corps!
Sergio was dressed right for the event and gave numerous 'OOH-RAH's' to many Marines!

He waved his American flag proudly!

One car that came by in the parade had the Director of the West Palm Beach VA in it-of course I know her.  She was passing out small paper flags and Sergio ran out (with me close by) to get one from her.  Of course there was music playing and he used this opportunity to do a little booty shaking in the road with the flags!

Trick or Treat

This year for Halloween, SerVlad wanted to be Optimus Prime, Leader of the Transformer Autobots!

Mom always likes to get in the spirit too!

Since we live in an area where houses are so far apart from each other, Our friend, MaryBette always offers to let us come park at her house and Trick or Treat in her beautiful development. Sergio always makes of well there!

Thank you, MB!

Here he is, in action, making full use out of all the decorations people had out!  He had a blast!

At school, the kids were allowed to come in costume but nothing too scary, no masks, and a whole list of no-no's to keep in mind.  To keep it simple, we put on a hand-me-down karate jacket and he was all set!

He quickly got into the character offering a few karate chop poses.

And they are off! Dad is his faithful driver to school each morning!

Halloween/Fall Craft Idea for that Not-So-Into Crafts Kid

SerVlad has a short attention span when it comes to arts and crafts.  So Mama had to get creative!
Almost every boy would like to squirt paint on something-right?  This craft did just the trick.

I prepped the pumpkins and work area in advance and had the paints ready.

All SerVlad had to do was stop hunting lizards for a few minutes to get this one done.

He chose the two smaller pumpkins and his paint colors.

BAM!  Squirt, squirt, a tussle of his hair and he was done-great job!!

I let the paint dry and cleaned up the mess and added the pumpkins to our fall décor on the front porch.  They were a nice addition!

Hey Nana-he has his fur!

HAPPY FALL Y'ALL!
